VRDET Character Profile: Private 1st Star Man

Name: Brian Mulholland
Alias: Star Man
Age: Was 15 when his body was replaced with a computer, therefore ending his growing process (see history, below)
Species: Androxian, a race that closely resembles humans but with more powers
Hair: Black/dark brown, with a "bowl" haircut.
Eyes: Blue-grey, with red pupils
Weight: 116 lbs.
Height: 5'2"

Appearance:

He is almost always found in black faded jeans, a dark grey t-shirt, and a long-sleeved denim shirt. He keeps Lennon-like sunglasses and a yo-yo in his pocket (which he's very good at).

Miscellaneous:

For unknown reasons, he really likes the Eek! the Cat theme song.
He can see things as small as 1 mm tall very clearly from 1/2 mile away.
His teeth whiten in his sleep.
His watch beeps every 46 minutes (Just during school, Jay)
He sometimes talks in the third person, especially when he's writing a profile about himself.

Personality Notes:

He's pretty easy-going and laid back. He procrastinates a lot. He's curious, as most Androxians are, and this sometimes gets him into trouble.

Basic history:

Androx is a planet about 415 light years from earth. The Androxians were scanning the television signals from Earth one day, and found a purple creature of unspeakable horror being broadcast. Taking this as an act of war, they quickly prepared to battle with the humans. The leader of the fleet was Brian of clan Mulholland, a Private 1st who was quickly climbing his way up the military ladder on Androx.

But as the fleet approached Earth, they were attacked by the Hell Wyrm's forces. Since the ships were unarmed transport ships which were only used to move troops, and not Androxian Battle Cruisers, every ship was destroyed. Only Brian made it out alive, in a life pod. When he landed on Earth, he realized that B'harnii's forces were attacking Earth, too.

He learned about the Jihad, and thought that it might be a good idea to join. He became a part of VRDET, and even got to keep his title of Private 1st. He was given a nickname, "Star Man," because of the star-shaped tattoo on his neck which was given to all Androxian military personnel. There have been rumors circulating that he was actually named after a wonderfully-drawn comic strip character invented by Brian, but these rumors are totally untrue.

About 1 1/2 years later, he was badly damaged in combat. The only way that he could be saved from death was through a full-body computer implant. The humans lacked the technology to create such a computer system, but the Androxians came to Star Man's rescue. They replaced all of his body with an extremely high-powered computer, made up mostly of a Jihaddium/Owsenite mix. All, that is, except for 63% of his brain and his exterior skin, except for his left arm. Although he looks and sounds the same physically, he has gained many amazing abilities from his cybernetic implant (see abilities, below).

Shortly after, his homeland was attacked by B'harnii's forces. All the Androxians on the planet were spongified; now only a handful exist in the universe - those who escaped in life pods before the attack, and those who had moved to other planets, like himself.

Abilities/Weapons:

As mentioned above, Star Man is now almost fully machine. He is able to run at speeds up to 400 MPH, but he prefers to fly by means of the jet packs hidden under his feet. He is amazingly skilled with any kind of weapon or jet, because those are things that interest him.

Androxians also have full telepathic and telekinetic abilities. Star Man had these abilities until the computer implant. Now he has limited telepathic abilities and can only use telekinesis when he is close to the object that he wants to move.

Star Man is fluent in many languages, but doesn't have to use them very much because he is telepathic - the Androxian method of telepathy involves ideas and mental images, not words.

He can survive a 300-ft (25-story) drop; temperatures between 7000 and -400 degrees Kelvin; he can float or sink in water, depending on which he wants to do; he can survive without air, food, or water.

As part of his military training, Star Man has learned how to throw a power ball at an enemy. By forming his hands into a sphere and concentrating, a small ball of pure energy will appear in his hands. It will quickly grow to be approx. 1 ft in diameter. It can be thrown at enemies to inflict major damage, and it is almost impossible to block due to its power and speed. However, it is impractical for use in most combat situations, because it takes time to make one and it leaves him vulnerable to attack during its creation period.

Also, Star Man can instantly teleport himself to somewhere else. It takes about 2 seconds for him to disappear, and another 2 to reappear at his destination.
