South Park: Bigger, Longer, &
Uncut!
Well, what can I say
about the new South Park movie. I for one loved it, though I think they
did go a tad overboard in a few places, and I think that especially one
scene should have earned them the NC-17 Rating that they fought with
the MPAA to avoid.
The basic premise, for those interested, is the Parents go nuts protesting
the new Terrance & Phillip R rated movie that causes all the children
to start swearing up a storm, and the US arrests T&P and are going
to execute them. Of course the US and Canada go to war over this, and
Satan and his new Bitch, Saddam Hussein, will be able to take over the
earth when T&P's blood touches US soil unless the boys can stop
their parents and the entire US army!
The creaters of South Park went all out on this, their first full length
South Park Movie Feature. They fought the MPAA long and hard over
the R Rating they finally received. The MPAA wanted to give Bigger,
Longer, Uncut a rating of NC-17 because of certain extremely sexually
explicit content, and I have to say that I think maybe the movie should
have gotten the NC-17 rating, but I still liked it. The big problem they
will have in the future though, is that now that they got the R Rating,
they have been speaking rather unkindly about the MPAA and it's President,
Jack Valenti, that they will not be able to get this kind of cooperation
from the MPAA again.
Ok, why am I reviewing this movie here? Well, for one thing, South Park
has been a favorite of a majority of Jihadii since it's original release
on Comedy Central in 1997, and for another, there is a great Anti-Barney
comment during the film.
All in all, a definite must see. Well worth the price of admission. I
give this film:
