I have to agree with Cyhotee. GET BACK TO USENET!!! I have been unable
to get into the CGI group, and I can only read usenet with Deja, but it's
better than trying to stop reading. I am impressed with the increase in
traffic there though. Let's get it up some more. I finished reading these
in under 5 minutes, so that means there isn't enough going on out there.
And I know I haven't posted in quite awhile either :/ . I'm working on

What is the group, the Jihad to Destroy Barney the Purple Dinosaur all about? Well, we're here to have **FUN**. Fun at the expense of the Purple Potty Scrubber[tm] and the lusers that come in (f)lametrolling us. Fun at having intelligent arguments over the pros and cons of the show. Fun at slamming the show on the WWW. Fun at writing group written fiction portraying an alternate universe where B'harne is a vile demon destroying lives and souls and we fight B'harne and all of his minions. Fun at educating the populace about the problems associated with this show and of doing things like using a lame, fluff show as an electronic babysitter. To quote the Three-Fold Truth[tm], everything else is irrelevant. Which brings us to something that should be obvious by now (In fact, I'm asking that it be made another corollary to the Three-Fold Truth at this point...) but apparently eluded many of us- to the point of these situations and driving many of the best of us away for good (This is why Owsen, J, and others drifted away from us- because they didn't connect with this or because of others that didn't connect). -------------------------------------------- The "FUN" corollary: If it's NOT fun in general, it's irrelevant. If it's fun at the expense of anything _other_ than B'harne and Fiends, or defending the Jihad, it's irrelevant. If it's not fun for you, but fun for others, and is otherwise relevant, it is still relevant- not everyone enjoys the same things. -------------------------------------------- We do nothing in this group except _relevant_ things, if we can help it. If you think we're here for anything other than the purpose of entertaining ourselves in our various ways at the expense of the Lavender Laxative of the Airwaves[tm] you're not with the program. This is not to say you're unwelcome. Far from it. It is saying you need to find your fun within the context of what I just pointed out- or maybe you need to move on. Not because you're not welcome- it's because you're not having fun. If you're not enjoying yourself whilst doing things Jihadii, why are you bothering? There are, to be dead serious about this, far more important things to concern yourself with than worrying about the show or what we do, etc. that I think you'll be better at accomplishing and you'll be certain to be happier at it than you are right now. Most of the painful episodes in this group can be traced to this sort of un-rest caused by someone taking it all too seriously in some fashion. If you do make that choice, please don't just leave. Let us know you're going and why. We don't want misunderstandings causing worse problems (since that's the number two source of the pain in our painful episodes...). -- Adm.
